Holiday Fitness Gift Guide 2015

Holiday Fitness Gift Guide 2015

Choosing the right present for the fitness enthusiast in your life can be tricky. Our list of holiday favorites can help you give a gift that is both mindful as well as stylish. Oh, and while our collage has a decidedly feminine touch, there are plenty of options for the guys in your life as well.

  1. Bridge and Burn  “Rooted and designed in Portland, Oregon”, this local brand offers functional yet classically designed clothing with a definite northwest vibe. Whether you’re hanging out with friends after finishing your latest mud run or hiking on the trails on your weekend camping trip, these versatile and durable pieces are a great addition to any active lifestyle.
  2. Bridge Nine Candles  Inspired by the St. John’s Bridge, the ninth major bridge on the Willamette River, these aptly named candles are a WFF long time favorite. They burn clean, are long lasting and they’re hand poured, using all natural soy wax, cotton wicks and fragrance oils. Plus, they smell fantastic!
  3. Prime Cut Bags  These beautiful hand-made bags were a love at first sight! Made from one-of-kind hides sourced around the world and internationally, each bag is therefore unique, so no two are ever exactly alike. Perfect for the loved one with a passion for individuality.
  4. Orox Leather Co. Bicycle Pannier  Style and function collide for the bicycle enthusiast in your life. The Orox Bicycle Pannier is waterproof- highly important given our numerous days of liquid sunshine – and it also converts into a very chic shoulder bag. Definitely high on my personal want/need list.
  5. Portland Apothecary  Whether you need an aromatherapy oil to help you focus and take clear action, a healing salve for minor scrapes and bug bites, or a seasonal tonic to strengthen your immune system and build the body’s resiliency Portland Apothecary has numerous option to lend support to any wellness routine.
  6. 52 Lists Project by Moorea Seal  Journaling offers numerous benefits, including stress reduction, mental clarity, and problem solving. Believe it or not, research has also suggested that journaling strengthens immune cells and decreases the symptoms of asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. This inspirational undated journal is based on a popular blog series by Moorea Seal and offers a list prompt for every week to encourage gratitude, self-expression and challenges to make personal dreams a reality.
  7. Strong Magazine  Geared towards women, Strong is my new favorite fitness magazine! Filled with edgy, yet powerful athletic images as well as the latest fitness and health info it’s hard not be inspired to step outside of your comfort zone to discover personal strengths.
  8. Bose Soundlink Color  Lets face it. That little speaker on your smart phone, iPad or tablet only goes so far. This portable wireless speaker system offers big sound in a small package.
  9. Fitbit  Used to be when I’d recommend a Fitbit to people they’d say “fit what?” Now this brand is everywhere and with good reason. This affordable wearable tracks your activity, calories burned and even your sleep. Perfect for helping to establish healthy habits and accomplish goals.
  10. G-Loves   A good pair of training gloves can be hard to find. Many times the focus is on function, not fashion. G-loves combines both.
  11. Under Armour leg warmers  The leg warmer trend of the eighties is making a big comeback. Fortunately, not the bright neon colored versions, however. This time around they’re available in more neutral tones for day and sporty patterns for the gym like this awesome pair from Under Armour.
  12. Fabletics  Replacing workout gear can be spendy these days. The most popular brands offer great quality, style and versatility but at a cost. Enter Fabletics, co-owned by Kate Hudson. Set up much like a subscription service, VIP members can get their first outfit, top and bottom, for as low as $25!

I love Moorea Seal! Hadn’t heard of that project.

It’s funny, I train regularly but at home so I wear old sweats and tank tops and no shoes… so I’m not up on the current trends or gifts. 😉 Pretty list!!
